New Ingenue.

Reinvention comes in many shapes & sizes. Mixing it up is most definitely a good thing, and this mantra- plus a plethora of celebrity inspiration, and a "seize the day" themed episode of Grey's Anatomy prompted me to grab my kitchen (YES KITCHEN) scissors and trim myself a little fringe. My hair was mostly the same length, and I absolutely love it. Truth be told, I'm now falling in the illusion that I'm dang good at cutting my own hair, and I don't even mind.
What do you do when you fancy a change?

Catchup

As awful as I feel about the horrific layout of the above picture that I'm using as a visual aid to catch you all up on what I've been doing for the last month, can we just take a moment to appreciate dat rainbow cake?
Done?
Ok, so my month has basically consisted of:

  1.  eating a little too much,
  2. shopping
  3. spending some much needed time with family- and that's extremely time consuming.
  4. discovering a love of vanilla bubble tea
  5. drinking too much bubble tea
  6. revising for impending mock exams
  7. staying up too late to keep on top of work & blog reading (it's an addiction!)
  8. realising there's more to life than what I'd let myself begin thinking
  9. Finishing my personal statement
  10. perfecting the art of a good stir fry

MIA, again

Apologies once more lovely followers.
This time, I promise I kind of have an understandable excuse. When I know more, I'll let you know & write a post about my experiences- but until then, thankyou, again, for sticking with me.

a smidgen of vanity

Bonjourno chicas!
So the above pictures were some poopy photobooth snaps after I'd finished playing around with makeup before a night out with some people from work. I played it pretty safe- so if you were hoping to see puce eyeliner or brown lipstick, then i'm afraid I won't be pleasing. However, I vamped up the smokiness on the eyes, layering Maybelline's Colour Tattoo in On and On Taupe, on Nars Yamal and the deep purple-y shade amongst others from the Naked 2 Palette. Standard statement brow, and a new nude lip combination that  I have truly fallen in love with.
Having spent waaaay too much on finding that perfect nude lip product, I stumbled upon a combination that's got me all a-flutter. Cue Chanel rouge Coco shine in 71 Style, and Revlon superlustrous lip gloss in Bellini. Both sheer, nude and when put together, angels sing and fairies giggle whilst strewing peonies across raspberry fields. Kind of.
I'm a self-pronounced lip gloss ditherer. Meaning I'll buy one, dither over whether or not to use it, then leave it to gather dust at the back of my makeup drawer. I've actually had this Revlon beauty for almost a year, and worn it a grand total of twice. But since I found it's super-nudey powers (oo-er) it's hardly left my bag/lips. I do love a good re-discovery!
