Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Moisturiser Review

I like moisturiser. It smells yummy (most of the time), it leaves my skin smooth and nourished and its creamy and thick. So Soap & Glory's The Righteous Butter moisturiser is right up my street!

Most soap and glory product names are puns/innuendos etc, but i don't really understand this one, which i'm ok with- because its luuuurvly!

I actually recieved this last Christmas, and i was instantly taken with the packaging. The flamingo pink is so typically girly and Soap&Glory-esque, that it was hard not to fall in love with it.

Admittedly, the picture of the half naked woman on the lid is a little risque, but overall, the packaging is a winner with me.

(Please excuse the wonky and uneven product...i left it on its side, near a radiator...) 

I love the smell of this. I wish i could bottle the smell and wear it as a perfume, it smells so so good. I can't even describe it- please give the whiff a sniff, and you'll immediately understand. 

The body butter is thick and creamy in consistency, and leaves the skin nicely moisturised, while the gorgeous scent lingers after the product has been absorbed. There isn't an oily residue after the moisturiser has been applied- just supple skin and a heady scent which i can't get enough of! 

This is definitely my favourite body butter/moisturiser at the moment, and can be bought for around the £5/6 mark. 

*The only downside of this product is the tub- but that's minor and when i use it after getting out the shower- my hands a clean anyway.

Leapyear Lucy?

I'm so sorry i haven't done a review in a few days, i'm taking some pictures tomorrow morning of manymany things for you all to gander at! 

Anyway, as recently i've been deviating a little from my whole beauty blogging shabang, i thought i'd mention something. In arouuuuund 9 days time, i will have so many things to review it'll be unreal. Why? You ask..

It's MY BIRTHDAY! 

Which i'm super excited about- not least because it's my first actual birthday in 4 years. Because, kiddas, the 29th February is a leapyear! 

Being me, and already knowing most things which parents have bought me, i can tell you know- i shall be occupied for weeks/months. There is that much there! 

SO, this pointless little post is basically saying sorry, but there are much better things to come!

Maybelline Dream Touch Blush 06 & 02 Review

While in Boots today, i felt it rude to not take advantage of the 3 for 2 offer on Maybelline products (i also got the Dream Touch Foam Foundation- review on its way!). These were each £6.99, but i got one free, due to the offer. Something about 3for2, or b.o.g.o.f s just seem to draw me in! (I know thats the idea:p)

I was actually really unkeen on this particular shade when i bought it. It was just a bit too dark/dramatic for my tastes, but after looking at my swatched wrist again after a few hours, i realised how much i love this blush colour, and was rather excited i'd bought it!

The shade is 06, and i want to say it is something to do with berry, but i have no idea. 

I'd describe it as a dark reddy pink with brown undertones, and as you can see, it's really pigmented.

This was the first shade of this blush which I picked up. Its the shade 02, and its a very pretty apricot/peach/creamy glow-y colour. 

The picture makes it look overly orange, but it does show the dewy sheen you get on these blushes.

I was really heavy handed with these swatches, to get the colours to show up- they blend like a dream and leave a really natural, pretty colour. 

Overall, these blushes are a solid 9/10 - the formula is so light and smooth, and the colour pay off is instant and remarkably good! Definitely worth £6.99- would've bought these even if they weren't on 3 for 2!

Nebula inspired eye makeup

Apologies for this post being picture light,  but i thought i may as well just show the finished product. 

This is my space/nebula inspired eye makeup. Personally, i think space and the universe are the most beautiful things i've ever seen (well, seen pictures of), and being able to literally put stars in my eyes excites me greatly.

I used the TOWIE luxury All Eyes on Me Palette, blended the white into the corners, the lighter blue all over the lid, darker blue along outer side of lashline and purple along the crease.
