April Glossybox

I feel no shame in admitting i adore Glossybox. I've never tried Carmine or any of the other beauty boxes on the market, but something about Glossybox is just so...fun!
The element of surprise and adding 5 samples to my ever growing makeup collection greatly excites me, and i love the feel of the boxes- especially the themed ones, so the Earth Month inspired Glossybox was a surefire hit with me(and apparently bloggers everywhere!)
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Glossybox itself is biodegradable. A very very nice touch!

In box i recieved:
-Figs & Rouge lip balm in Rambling Rose
-kai Perfume sample
-Ayuuri body wash
-Inika eye pencil in Peacock blue
-Caudalie S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum

I've seen others complain or show a little annoyance at the presence of a perfume sample, but i really liked this one in particular. The brand is extremely elegant and i loved the idea of the scent being different on everyone. There are other perfumes and even lipsticks etc that have similar claims, and i have tested this theory on myself, Mum and one of my sisters- and it does smell a little different. I really like the overall lightness and fresh fragrance- i won't be buying a bottle though- i wasn't blown away enough to spend £41 on a full size bottle.

This lip balm is one of the two full size products in the box. The Figs & Rouge Lip balm in Rambling Rose was something i'd hoped would blow me away. But i really didn't like the smell. It smelt really odd, and i normally love rose scented products. Unfortunately not a winner for me, but my sister, who i gave it to, seemed to like it well enough- is it just me?! (£3.29 from www.feelunique.co.uk)

The other full size product in the box is the shown Inika certified organic eye liner in peacock blue. I was the first one to dismiss it, saying blue eyeliner is most definitely not my idea of edgy, or pretty. But after applying, i changed my tune. I liked putting a little on my lower lash line and smudging a little. The texture was absolutely lovely. It glided on and lasted hours before i noticed any wear. As far as i can sniff, there isn't a distinct scent. I would've preferred maybe of a brown or dark green, but i'll definitely look into the other Inika prodcuts avaliable. (£11.75 at www.inikacosmetics.co.uk)

Also in this box, which I haven't pictured because i wanted to do separate revies on the products, were an Ayuuri body wash, which i cannot get enough of, and a Caudalie S.O.S Thirst Quenching serum, which i'm really considering paying £29 for a full size product.

Overall, i really like the box this month, and i cannot wait to receive the May box.

Where have you been?!

So i've been gone for...what seems like forever. Literally, almost a month!
How bad is that?!
This is for a few reasons:
-revision has taken up 90% of my free time, the other 10% is spent either shopping for more makeup, or skype with the boyfriend.
-the new boyfriend. yayayay! at weekends i've been seeing him, so my blogging has been a little pushed aside! He apologises by the way(whattaloser!)!
-the new posting format thing is a little daunting. It's the first time i've posted using it, but not the first time i've tried. I'm not scared of change, but it looks a little..meh. Brilliant english right there: meh.

Anyway, i've got no end of posts to get writing for you, so i best get started! Thankyou for bearing with me!
